To assist with the smooth running of the halal processing of the chicken at the slaughterhouse, PERGAS engaged a panel of Syariah Advisers. The Syariah Panel Advisers are responsible to ensure strict compliance of Islamic principles and law. Frequent visits of at least twice weekly to the slaughter house is conducted to supervise and confirm that the production process is carried out to our best satisfaction in line with the guidelines agreed and approved by the Syariah Panel Advisers and at the same time in compliance with MUIS regulations. Trainings were provided at the initial stages to ensure workers have clearly and carefully understood every aspects of the production process with any doubts.

The ‘halal’ label authenticated by MUIS is of great significant when dealing with the Muslim community and PERGAS supervision has a value added grade of authority to the ‘halalness’ of the chicken. This would create high level of confidence amongst the Muslims in Singapore
